Terms and Conditions for Garages

You confirm that you operate a genuine garage business and that the information you provide to simplymot.co.uk is accurate, complete and up to date.

You may carry out MOT tests yourself where appropriately authorised to do so, or arrange for MOT tests to be carried out at another suitably authorised Vehicle Testing Station.

You are responsible for ensuring that all MOT services and any related services you provide or arrange comply with all applicable legal, regulatory, licensing, authorisation and insurance requirements.

You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the information provided on your garage profile.

You agree to respond promptly to booking requests and notify customers of any cancellations or rescheduling.

Garages pay a monthly subscription fee to be listed and receive booking requests through simplymot.co.uk.

Subscription fees are payable in advance and are non-refundable unless otherwise agreed in writing.

The billing cycle is monthly, beginning on the date the garage account is opened, and will renew automatically each month unless cancelled in accordance with these Terms.

simplymot.co.uk reserves the right to revise subscription fees periodically. Any price increases will take effect with a minimum of 30 days’ prior notice, which will be provided by email and/or postal mail.

simplymot.co.uk does not take any commission on MOT service fees charged by the garage to customers.

Booking confirmations, cancellations and communication with customers are the responsibility of the Garage.

Garages are responsible for the MOT services and any related services they provide or arrange.

Where a Garage arranges for an MOT to be carried out at another Vehicle Testing Station, responsibility for that arrangement remains with the Garage.

Garages may cancel or reschedule bookings where necessary but must notify customers as soon as reasonably possible.

simplymot.co.uk acts solely as a booking platform and does not carry out MOT tests, repair vehicles, collect, drive or transport vehicles, or provide garage services.

The Garage is responsible for the MOT services and any related services it provides or arranges, including the quality, safety, legality and performance of those services.

Where the Garage takes possession or control of a customer’s vehicle, including where the vehicle is driven, collected, delivered or transported for the purposes of the MOT or any related service, responsibility for the vehicle rests with the Garage.

The Garage is responsible for ensuring that any person driving or transporting a customer’s vehicle is legally entitled and appropriately insured to do so.

The Garage indemnifies simplymot.co.uk against claims, losses, damages or liabilities arising from the Garage’s acts or omissions, services it provides or arranges, or its possession or control of a customer’s vehicle, except to the extent caused by simplymot.co.uk’s own fault.

simplymot.co.uk may request supporting information and may suspend, hide or remove a Garage listing where information appears inaccurate, cannot be satisfactorily verified, where concerns arise, or where these Terms are breached.

simplymot.co.uk may also suspend or terminate access following repeated or serious customer complaints.

Subscription fees paid prior to suspension or termination are non-refundable unless otherwise agreed in writing.

By providing your garage’s business name, logo, photographs, address and other information intended for public display on your garage profile, you confirm that you have the necessary rights and permissions to provide this content and allow simplymot.co.uk to use it as described below.

You give simplymot.co.uk permission to use this content:

To promote your garage, helping customers discover your business and encouraging MOT bookings.

To promote the simplymot.co.uk network, including showing garages that are part of our network on our website, social media, digital advertising and printed marketing materials.

We will only use information and content intended for public display as part of your garage profile for these purposes.

If you do not want your garage name, logo or images to be used in simplymot.co.uk promotional materials, you can contact us at info@simplymot.co.uk at any time and we will respect your request for future marketing campaigns.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
