Terms and Conditions for Customers

simplymot.co.uk ("we", "us", or "our") is an online booking platform operated in the UK under the name simplymot.co.uk. We connect vehicle owners ("Users", "Customers", or "Drivers") with local garages for the purpose of booking MOT tests. We provide a booking service, but we do not perform MOT tests or any other vehicle-related services ourselves.

You must be at least 17 years old and legally permitted to drive a vehicle in the UK to use this site.

You agree to provide accurate and current information when creating an account or booking a service.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and login credentials.

simplymot.co.uk operates as an online booking and comparison platform connecting Drivers with independent Garages.

Any contract for the MOT or any related services is strictly between the Driver and the Garage. Simply MOT is not the provider of those services and is not a party to that contract.

Garages operate independently from Simply MOT and are responsible for the services they provide or arrange.

We do not charge Drivers for making a booking. Garages pay Simply MOT a subscription to be listed and receive bookings.

Payment for the MOT or any additional services is made directly to the Garage. Simply MOT is not involved in that financial transaction.

Bookings made through simplymot.co.uk are subject to confirmation by the Garage.

A booking made through the platform does not itself create a contract for the Garage to provide the service. The service contract is formed directly between the Driver and the Garage.

The Garage may carry out the MOT itself or arrange for the MOT to be carried out at another suitably authorised Vehicle Testing Station.

Garages may cancel or reschedule a booking where necessary.

Simply MOT is not responsible for cancellations, delays or the performance of services provided or arranged by a Garage where Simply MOT itself is not at fault.

Garages are independent third parties and are responsible for the MOT services and any related services they provide or arrange, including the quality and performance of those services.

Where a Garage takes possession or control of a vehicle, including where the vehicle is driven, collected, delivered or transported for the purposes of the MOT or any related service, responsibility for the vehicle rests with the Garage. Simply MOT is not involved in those arrangements and is not responsible for the handling, movement, loss or damage of the vehicle while it is in the Garage’s possession or control.

Simply MOT does not carry out MOT tests, repair vehicles, collect, drive or transport vehicles, or provide garage services.

Any concerns or claims relating to the MOT service, any related service, or the handling of the vehicle should normally be addressed directly with the Garage responsible for the booking.

Simply MOT is not responsible for the acts or omissions of an independent Garage where Simply MOT itself is not at fault.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability of Simply MOT that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

We collect and process your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

By using our website, you agree to receive service-related communications.

You may also receive optional marketing emails, which you can opt out of at any time.

simplymot.co.uk may provide MOT reminder notifications by email or other electronic means as a convenience only. While we make reasonable efforts to send reminders, we do not guarantee that reminders will be delivered, received, or read.

We accept no responsibility or liability if a user does not receive an MOT reminder for any reason, including technical issues, incorrect contact details, email filtering, or system outages.

It remains the sole responsibility of the vehicle owner to ensure their vehicle has a valid MOT at all times and to comply with UK legal requirements.

simplymot.co.uk displays MOT history and related vehicle information using data obtained from third-party sources, including the DVSA. While we make reasonable efforts to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of this information, we do not guarantee that all MOT history, test results, expiry dates, or related details will always be complete, accurate, or up to date.

Technical issues, data delays, system errors, or third-party service interruptions may occasionally result in incorrect or outdated information being displayed.

simplymot.co.uk accepts no responsibility or liability for any errors, omissions, or inaccuracies in MOT history information.

Vehicle owners and users are strongly advised to independently verify MOT status, test results, and expiry dates using the official DVSA website at https://www.gov.uk/check-mot-history.

It remains the sole responsibility of the vehicle owner to ensure their vehicle has a valid MOT and complies with all UK legal requirements.

All website content (text, graphics, logos, software) is owned by or licensed to simplymot.co.uk. You may not copy, reproduce, or use our content without permission.

Our website may contain links to external websites. We are not responsible for the content or practices of those sites.

We may revise these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Continued use of the website indicates acceptance of any updated terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

simplymot.co.uk lists independent third-party garages that offer, provide or arrange MOT services. Before a garage listing is made available on the platform, simplymot.co.uk may review the business information provided as part of its onboarding process.

Garages are responsible for ensuring that the information they provide is accurate and up to date, and for complying with all legal, regulatory, licensing, authorisation and insurance requirements that apply to the services they provide or arrange.

simplymot.co.uk does not guarantee or endorse the quality, suitability, customer service or performance of any garage listed on the platform.

Drivers should review the information available about a garage and decide whether it is suitable for their requirements before proceeding with a booking. Drivers may also choose to carry out their own additional checks where appropriate.

simplymot.co.uk acts solely as the booking platform. Responsibility for the MOT service and any related services remains with the garage providing or arranging those services.
